DirectTrack Down - Again

"People still use DirectTrack?"

what he said... anyone still using that piece of shit in 2012 deserves the losses generated from this downtime. and if they keep using it after this, they will deserve it next time it happens too.

CB is still down at my end. Some other networks switched to hasoffers overnight. What a drama.

Seriously, why the fuck clickbooth is still with these retards? They got enough money to build up their own system.

yes exactly. i've been on wickedfire for almost four years but never heard of directtrack. btw your english skills are about on par with your tracking system, assuming crackp0t is correct.

Fucking A this thing is still down. What are there a bunch of fuckin morons working on it. Didn't these fucking people ever hear of redundancy.

"Efforts to this point in restoring clients systems have been effective, but exceeded our initial estimates for time to complete. Based on the work completed thus far and additional analysis of data transfer rates and system build time, we presently anticipate that the process for full restoration of the entire DirectTrack client base will take through the remainder of the weekend.

As clients’ systems become available, clients will be notified. "

48hrs now and they expect I to take another 48hrs to fix? What in the hell could have possibly happened to need 4 days to be fixed. Extremely rare disk array malfunction my ass.

Thursday afternoon (CST), Digital River experienced an abrupt and extremely rare hardware malfunction that impacted a disk array in one of our data centers. Our vendors have never seen a situation like this before.

As a result, some of our service areas have been impacted, including the services to the platform that supports your DirectTrack system. As a result, your system is unable to be accessed or process transactions at this time. We anticipate this will be the case until the hardware problem has been fixed.

We have all our best technical experts working along with our vendors top engineers - and they are doing everything possible to fix the problem as quickly as possible. To keep you up to date on our progress, we plan to provide regular updates throughout the day.

DT sucks! It always has and always will. I had a DT platform a few years ago and it always went down. Their support sucks! They never made any upgrades. Tracking was always way off, in the networks favor. There is no good reason why any network should use them besides the nightmare it would be to move over all the campaigns. There are enough networks out there that a publisher never needs to work with any network using DT.

I have a feeling we'll hear their swan song in the months to come.

It's almost like being an affiliate and not being in-control of the whole supply chain is foolish if you're making a reasonable amount of money.

While I do empathize with you guys, I hope a few lessons were learned...

Another decent size network using them is MarketLeverage. Again, I really don't know why any network would use them except laziness to migrate?
