^^ Finally got around to watching Zero Dark Thirty last week. What a glorious pile of shit propaganda film that was. Holy fuck. I'm sure women loved it though because they put a huge female empowerment spin on it.
They put Argo out as being fact and then made it out that the Brits turned you away from their Embassy which they didn't. This is Hollywood for you. I always look past this kind of thing and judge it as a movie and ZD30 was well made.
1929 and we had all quiet on the western front (awesome movie, highly recomended)
Now we have Zero Dark Thirty.

It was a good movie, but it really seemed to me like it was made in a rush or production turned into a mess or something. I thought Inglorious Basterds was much better. The training montage is dumb, especially compared to Kill Bill II. The plot is very cool and some scenes are great, the house slave vs field slave dynamic is awesome, but overall it doesn't come together 100%. A lot of people are probably responding to shock value or just don't factor the movie's quality into the entertainment value of a film.

They make movies where whites are slaughtered by blacks, and the whites sit in theaters and gleefully lap it up.

So you're black? I consider myself to be a fairly normal (white) person. And yet I never found myself in the state of mind in which I felt prone towards paranoia, psychosis, aggression and violence.
Overall this movie is a piece of trash. Designed to give "niggas" a false sense of empowerment in a white mans world.

The guy that asks Django to spell his name in the mandingo fighting scene made the original. I love how QT takes old movies and makes them what he would have wanted to see in the original.
