DO NOT Let Verizon Move Phone Numbers/Contacts For You!

I should add that I'm not sure that Flextronics runs the tech support at all Verizon corporate owned locations, but they've been doing so on some sort of large scale for a few years now, and took care of my latest phone contact transfer (for free, I might add, with a phone I got off of eBay and not from the store).
 


I actually used to work for Verizon / Airtouch at a retail store a long time ago. If I logged into an account for any reason it was logged I believe. It was the last page in the comments. It was logged even if I jsut looked / confirmed names plans on the account. Then I could change the basic login record to reflect what I did on the account.

If they want to or are forced to by a subpoena they will look through the comments. It is all there.

Customers that call in or walk in often have a very busy comment section.

I would refer weird walkin legal questions to the legal department. Not only that I was instructed to.

Some Verizon managers are morons. That is why I quit and started IM fulltime.

I really cannot imagine it changing with the instore support getting outsourced. Back when I was there the only person that was outsourced was the greeter.

But they will want the bad apple gone even more than you. They just dont want to get sued by giving you more ammunition. And the store manager wants the problem out of his store as soon as possible.

I know for a fact that the sales guy who handled my new phone was doing the moving of numbers himself. I peered in to the area he was working in once or twice during the process (took 25+ minutes) and he was the ONLY person back there...

Again all contacts to Verizon have been USELESS
