Are WF'ers generous with their monies? That is the question!

What percentage of your monies do you give back?

I decided to give 10% of my earnings regardless of how much I make.

Cancer? Mental Illness? Heart disease foundation? Prostitutes Anonymous? Who do you give monies to and why?

I give money when the firemen come to my door and when toys for tots and the likes are out on the street, etc.

Other then that, I dont.

I don't donate any specific percentage of earnings per se.

However, I do have a large group of people in my town wherein every year we hold Blood Donation drives, Cloth Donation drives (for those affected in floods etc.) & Food donation drives. And each of us contribute to the event cost.

We also have social functions and mega carnivals every year and the proceeds from these are then forwarded to local NGOs or Charities whom we work with.

Have never been a fan of blind charity donations. Offices of which have a tens of thousands in interior decorations alone.

In before people blame taxes for their lack of generosity.

Chances are you either have such silly amounts of money that taxes don't even show up on your radar or you're so fucking poor you can hardly feed and cloth yourself.

If I was a betting man, I know which one I'd bet one.

That being said, I donate to the IRS and humane society every month. Not good enough for you? Too fucking bad, go join the OWS losers.

lol. Why would I donate money to 'non profit' organizations? So they can buy more ads on TV with hungry black kids to make me feel bad? After seeing what happens with the money that people give to those corporations only a retard would donate

Check out kiva.org -- you're only "loaning" money to people who need it and will pay it back. It's a cool system and good karma.

I don't donate shit (almost). In fact, for those of you who do, you might want to investigate how much the CEO's of these 'charitable' organizations make/year and how much of every dollar goes to the actual cause.

The little that I do donate (probably) goes to homeless animals when I'm checking out at Petco's.

To all the people complaining about charities advertising - why wouldn't they? It generates a positive return for them. (and I'm sure that generally they get discounted rates) Are you honestly telling me you use bandit signs etc, rather than buying ad inventory?

That said, I don't donate, at the moment. It makes much more sense to reinvest the money I would have donated back into what I do, which'll make me more money, leading to me being able to donate larger amounts in the future.

I donate to my church (occasionally) and to a non-profit organization called EMAS Canada that does medical education (training doctors and nurses) and aid in undeveloped/developing countries. I know the people who work for and run EMAS and they always end up putting a ton of their own personal money to help fill the gap between their fundraising income and the cost of the projects they work on so I feel confident my money actually helps.

Edit: Probably donate 1-2% of my income

You don't have to donate to some mega-BS charity--there are plenty of local charities that do legitimately help people and not spend money on frivolous stuff.

Yes, here and there. But yesterday I was at the Taco Bell drive-thru, just trying to get a chalupa so my lazy ass wouldn't have to make anything when I got home...anyway, I only had $5 in cash, and it was like $4.30 or some shit, and she asked if I wanted to donate a buck to help fight world hunger...

I said "I don't have any more cash. Can I just donate the change?"

...and the bitch said no! wtf.

I give via my taxes to
12 million illegal immigrants,
10 million crack heads,
the entire cast of The Jerry Springer Show,
140,000 people in 133 penal establishments in
California,
2 million leftovers from Katrina,
half of Mexico, and all
of the House of Representatives, most of the Senate.

Thanks. I'm gonna lend some money now. 98.89% Repayment rate is pretty damned good. I've been using wishuponahero.com for a while. Last year I sent 20 kids to a baseball game. Felt pretty good, so I continue to help where I can.

Does this count?

good one... I lol'd

I give away between 10-15% of my monthly income to churches and other charities.

- Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Orange County Rescue Mission
- World Vision
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

I'm surprised you're not donating your sperm considering you've got such an active prostate...
