Hearing the news in Australia everything is indicative of the US Defaulting... Has anyone from the states got any updates that would indicate which way it is going to go?

It will come down to the last moment and they'll come to an agreement. That's how it usually works, but doesn't it will this time. However, I seriously doubt it will happen.

It is something that I am curious to see because of the fact that the AUD is so high at the moment. I was thinking if it did happen would the AUD make the USD look like an indian ruppee?

No, they won't default. At 11:59pm on August 1st they'll come to an agreement, show up on media, and brand themselves as heros for saving the country. All the while, the agreement they came to fucks the country even more, which was exactly their intention from the beginning.

Why would a Government do that??? it makes no sense as to why they would wait til the last day to make a reasonable decision. I am sorry but it just doesn't make any sense as the US Econ. is taking a hiding in the meantime.

I hope they don't default but I think too much is hedging on an agreement...

You act like government makes sense in the first place.

It's how they will force the public sheeple to swallow their load. If they came out with their big "fuck the public" plan before the last possible second people would know it was planned. Now it'll look like it's the best they could do without defaulting. Que the media spin.

Take a course on Psychology 101. It's all one big fucken ploy.

The US government is no longer there to help the US citizens. At this point in history, they're just there to keep everyone subdued, distracted, on edge, and in fear. That way, the people in power can do whatever the fuck they want with total impunity.

I fear that you guys' message is lost on people like websolutions... With some people there is a mental barrier, as strong as any religion's barrier and met with the same amount of denial, when it comes to their government making sense.

Their little bubble worlds just don't make sense without there being a government that they can understand at the reins... Likely the exact same one they learned about in grade school. Finding out that it's not the government that they've believed in all these years is akin to finding out there is no god... Their bubble would have to burst first and that ain't easy.

The free ride is over if they do, which we all know wont happen, although I personally am not scared of a little sacrifice...

Wait, so America's biggest news story today isn't how hot it is in the midwest?

Even if they don't set a budget they can still pay the bill on their "loans". You know much fucking taxes they take in every day? Propaganda bullshit..

We can save a lot of money by outsourcing our U.S. Mint to U.S. Citizens

After last night, doesn't look like either party is any closer to coming to an agreement... Either party allowing us to default will be possibly be the worst economic decision in recent history. While I think both economic plans have flaws, I would rather us wholeheartedly agree on one or the other than default!!

Federal revenue runs around $150 billion monthly, whereas our interest obligations are less than $30 Billion. We have no need to default save the posturing of idiots who are content with the cost of lives and livelihoods weighing on their conscience so long as they retain their pride. There will be an agreement, because if we default the game is over and those idiots will have nothing left to offer the people to keep them docile.
