Do you use TOR at all? Lube er up

LOL I've seen a bunch of dumbasses freaking out because they use torbrowser for CC purchases and shit, thinking they are being super-private.

It isnt a problem with TOR.

Its JS (which should always be treated as an enemy and disabled) and a Firefox vuln thats already been patched.

The only concerning thing is that our own government is using 0day exploits. Here is the code they used. I find it highly odd that they encrypted the original code yet left the IP completely out in the open, almost as if they wanted you to find it and know who was behind it. It looked up your MAC addy and hostname and sent them back to server 65.222.202.53 via HTTP request. That IP address is part of IP space directly allocated to the NSA's Autonomous Systems (AS). It's not FBI; it's NSA. Now why is the NSA at the heart of a C&C server of a tor exploit?

(O_o) - What is that p0p.r0bt3x thing? Is that screen shot from the latest nsa leeked program?

I have never bought anything, or done anything more than being curious on some of the onion sites, but I did think it would be more secure. I bet the guys who really do shady shit on there are peppering their angus burger.

Maybe a plan organized by the gov...since they created T0R in the first place?

or Another agency wanted it to look like the NSA were behind it, or the NSA wanted it to look like another agency wanted it to look like the NSA were behind it.

Nothing is wrong with the TOR network. The US government used JS to get users real IP address and send it back to them. I am curious as to how they found the real IP addresses of the Freehosting servers. This is really great proof that the US government commits the same acts criminals do. While I have no problem with them taking down CP sites or hosting that facilities them, this opens the door for them basically doing whatever the fuck they want with no repercussions. The only users vulnerable to the exploit were people using an outdated version of TBB + using Windows + allowing JS.

Its rumored that the NSA/DoJ/FBI run a small % of tor entry points, exit nodes, servers, etc.

stay safe bros

A good quote for nontech users from the CryptoCloud forum
Think of the network block 65.222.202.0/24 as a Zip code that represents Verizon Street in Washington DC. If you stand at the end of Verizon Street, there's a building belonging to SAIC [number 0-15] who are a defense contractor (they don't own the whole street, however it looks like it from certain angles). Next door to SAIC is a dusty looking building belonging to an Internet Services company [number 16-31], then there's some mystery building belonging to the US government [number 32-47] and next door to *that* is a building with no name on [number 48-55]. That's where the Torsploit data went. Moving on, there's are a couple of factory units and rather oddly a horse stables, then some other offices and factory units, a few other unmarked buildings (some of which are clearly empty) and near the end is Federated IT who work for law enforcement and the government [number 184-191] and finally a school [number 240-255]. Incidentally, a few streets over in a nearby ZIP code is the main office for the NSA. Think of this table as being a directory of the buildings on Verizon Street.

Now, although you can't tell WHO is in number 48-55, you can tell what sort of neighborhood you are in, and you know what sort of thing goes on in Washington DC. You're not standing next to the bus station in Tiraspol, for example. Incidentally, although there were a few lights on a couple of days ago, number 48-55 is now resolutely dark again.

There's no "NSA" sign on this building, and no way to tell for certain who is inside. But you can probably make an educated guess about what sort of organisation might be using the space on that particular street..
