I feel like i've been duped just like I got duped by religion, that the great lie is that everyone can have success if you can dream it. Do you think this is a lie that the success/self help industry has created to sell more books? Also, what are your thoughts on "The Secret", and whats the difference between writing down your goals and "The Secret"?

I have my goals on sticky notes on my bathroom mirror. Great way to remind myself that I must "cultivate a love for the process" as well as "do my daily meditation and SEO" and "stop and think yes."

I also keep tons and tons of sticky notes on my bedroom mirror that are filled with acomplishments I'm proud of. Nothing beats reminding yourself of how awesome you are every morning.

writing them down does so much more then just "remembering" them.

i wont get into why, but it works for most people, maybe it wont work for you though.

how do you know you arrived ( or when to make a course correction ) at your destination, if you don't know where your going?

I have a few whiteboards. One dedicated to long term goals, and the other ones to medium term goals. Then I have post-it notes dedicated to what I need to get done ASAP.

It's like a modified version of David Allen's Getting Things Done, but it works for me.
