I've been a member of clickbank for awhile but quit promoting their stuff because of the many loopholes they have to keep from paying you fairly. It has been a couple of years now and am curious if they have cleaned up their act?

So.... should one stay away from ClickBank, or are they on ok?

All I care is if the check clears every 2 weeks. Everything else you can't do anything about. They seem pretty fair to me. If there is any funny business going on I can't tell. I more than happy with the money I make each month.

They suck if you dont know how to promote them.
They rock if you know how to promote them.

SEO or PPC... pick your evil.

I hate promoting CB all together...

Their checks are on time, and I haven't heard too much about people getting boned recently.

if i had to pick between ever logging back into my clickbank account or pressing two scolding hot soldering irons into my eye sockets, i would go with the irons.

I've been promoting spome clickbank products (only products I could find in a very specific niche I wanted to target). It took a bit of trial and error, but if you can forgive yourself for selling a bunch of spam crap, and if you target your visitors properly (just remember that anyone buying ebooks are dumb fucks and will believe anything), you can make a fair amount of money off them.

Just look at the average landing page for ebooks - feed bullshit to your visitors long enough and they will shell out for anything.

So far I've gotten two fairly high-value checques from them - both were prompt and cleared without any problems. The only problem I had was that they don't send you your first cheque till you received 5 orders with 5 different credit cards, one being a Visa, another being Mastercard... this is harder than you can imagine, since 95% of people buying stuff off CB uses Paypal, which doesn't count.

I did not know that... thats weird? Anyone care to explain this a little more? Im just curious why this "precautionary" measure is in place.

I think it's to prevent people from signing up with an afifliate account and buying a lot of products at 50%-70% discount. Not many people have 5 credit cards. They don't make it hard to sign up as an affiliate (probably to make it easy for people to start promting their products) - this is probably just to verify that their affiliates are legit.

I too recall seeing something about the 5 CC thing but, when I first signed up with them, back in the dark ages, I did it to buy stuff at a discount through my own aff. links. It took a while but I eventually got paid. I haven't actively promoted any CB stuff for a very long time but now, every few months, a check drops into my mailbox. HAH! Manna from heaven!

It took some time for me to get my first check sent because nobody was paying me by mastercard for some reason. I was getting a lot of orders but all were paypal, visa, or american express for over a month when i first started. Everything has been fine since then though.

It sucks if you are competing with imbeciles promoting money-making ebooks crap. If you want to make money in clickbank, you'd better be the one who produces those ebooks. I bet many of WickedFire members can produce a better crap than those of Warrior Forum. You can make a decent affiliate living by going after niches other than money-making niche. Enuff said.
