Does anyone else think CJ sucks?

I have several campaigns that start out massively profitable, but then drop off rapidly.

I just signed up with Neverblue and Azoogle. Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with these guys?

Thanks,
Brad

The only money I ever made on CJ was with the ebay program. I know it works for other people, but not for me.

neverblue and azoogle are both good companies. You could also check out copeac.

I don't think that's any fault of CJ... Sounds like it's either a problem with the way your campaign is run (not adjusting for more competition), or that you choose crappy merchants that don't convert well.

I make the majority of my affiliate income through CJ, and I've never had any tracking problems that weren't compensated. CJ makes 30% or so of all commission generated, so they usually pick up on irregularities in terms of CJ pixels "disappearing" or the such. Hell, one of my merchants had some unexpected site downtime a few weeks back, and the affiliate manager for the advertiser emailed me offering to reimburse my PPC spend during the downtime. The trick is to forge good relationships with the merchant and CJ, so they'll be willing to help out with any issues like this.

I'm at the point now where I get invited into private (programs hidden from most publishers) advertisers' programs in CJ - I wouldn't have gotten to this point if CJ or their merchants constantly fucked around with tracking.

I use CJ, neverblue, azoogle, and copeac.

I believe CJ is great for the depth of their products. So, as you come across winners, there are a lot of ways to continually market back to the same customer because of the exposure of the merchants catalog online. this is powerful as we all now the easiest person to sell to is an existing customer.

Its not that CJ is better or worse than any others - its just you have to look at it as a tool, and ask yourself if it fits with how and to who you are promoting.

Because of CJ's depth, there are some real gems that a new affiliate can start with. Instead of chasing "ringtones", "free ipod", etc. how about selling "flagpoles"? You can with CJ.

I heard someone was making $10,000 a dayselling flagpoles on Facebook.

CJ

CJ has some big merchants you won't find anywhere else. What you won't get is the attention and support that you'll find at other networks, unless you are a top performer. Also, CJ takes 30% margins from my experience, so expect a lower street payout from them vs. cpa networks, on the same campaign.

I have 1 site that gets about 8 ( yep, 8, not 8thousand or 8million) visits a day and actually makes pretty good money with CJ. I don't use it for anything else though.

Not sure if they still do this, but they use to suspend your account if you don't get any sales / leads within any six month period.

That's annoying if you don't know this or don't read their TOS properly and then signup, create a new site, review many products and put your CJ referral links on it and then start promotoing your new site and in about 3 days time you find that your account is inactive because it took you around 5.5 months to do all your new site and put the ads on it.

Yes they still do that. I always signup to see whats available but never sell so I have to signup every 6 months. :P

CJ is pretty good in my experience. They pay on time but their (lack of) support sucks.

Commission Juntion sucks...

IRS always sucks...
What the fuck do those have to do with each other? Unless you find a legit affiliate network based in Canada, you'll have to deal with the IRS for most affiliate networks with US targeted offers...

Fuck them! They rape your money... they want your hard earned cash... they should eat shit and die!

As i browsed around a lot of other forums i noticed many posts about how bad it is. I didn't test it tho so i don't have a personal opinion. I just usually google scam any program i find out there :P
