Does Page Age matter?

I realise that domain age can have a serious effect on your ability to climb the SERP's but does the age of the specific page you're trying to rank have any effect?

The reason I ask is because I've noticed that the older pages on my site tend to rank a shit load easier than trying to rank a new page.

Thoughts?

Other than the obvious your main pages already have links ect to them then no it shouldn't make a difference. Just like starting over again ranking for a new site.

They should really rank faster than new sites as your main page and whole site is carrying more authority.

Well, you already seem to have some sort of correlation that suggests so. Other factors that may exist is that older pages have collected links, and that link age also matters. It's a trust thing.

I know that correlation doesn't equal causation so whilst the correlation exists, it doesn't mean it has anything to do with it.

I just wanted to check in and see if anyone else had any expereince with this or if it was something that existed in my head.

Have you checked the backlinks? Your new pages probably don't have time to get as many high quality backlinks as the old ones.

Yeah... Checked the backlinks. Some of the newer pages have a lot more, higher quality back links that the older pages yet are still struggling.

Yes...........
Earlier, I created just the homepage and let my new sites age for 6 months.

Now I create the top ten pages when I start out.
