A site that would allow you to specify a goal, and a daily (or weekly) itemized to-do list geared towards making that goal happen.
^-This exists already.
But the twist is it would also serve as a motivator to help you stick to the to-do list. You could optionally enter your goal into the "motivation mode", where you're required to update your progress either on a daily or weekly basis (whichever you initially specify), it would be quick and simple to update with checkboxes. It would also require you to enter your facebook and/or twitter account, and give the service access to sending status updates. If you fail to either login, or to complete a certain item on the to-do list, it will automatically send a status update through your facebook and/or twitter account, publicizing your failure to do so. It would also publicize if you choose to cancel the goal. For some people with fb/twitter accounts, this could serve as a decent enough incentive to not slack.
If it doesn't exist, would be cool if it did, and would be really cool if it were branded in a hardcore "get it done" manner.
Another idea would be to allow the member to choose an amount to pay ($25, $50, $100+) simply as a monetary way of incentive/motivation. Maybe release the funds back (after a small fee) when they can say they've reached their goal - obviously no way to prove it, so you would have to refund the money, but none the less it's an extra source of motivation for the member.
Just some thoughts, after thinking about what I need to do to get some shit done I know I'd give it a shot to see if it actually helped motivate me.
