Hi guys,

The thing is that I have a PR5 domain that receives around 100-200 unique visitors per day from a good referrer and I don't really have any good usage of that site at this point and I was thinking of redirecting that domain to my other site that is fairly new and is updated daily.

Is the redirecting the best thing I can do or should I do something else ?

Thanks in advance,

The page rank should transfer, but you will lose the "aged domain" value. Alternatively, you can just link to your new domain... that would send some PR juice and help the rankings.

If the traffic of both sites are related, i'd transfer the new site onto the old domain and forward all the traffic from the new site to the old domain.

Thank you for your reply.

I will have to think about what I should do.

From what I have read high PR to low PR always helps the low PR.

Also you will be better off if you link one way. As in PR5 to PR0, PR0 to nothing. That should give you better google rank than reciprocal link.
