It's still early, but there were two minor moves up on my keyword. Once from 72 to to 69 and then to 67. Nothing major, though it's a difficult keyword. To be honest, I'm really hoping it will get into the second page with this, but it's a little too early to tell now.

Now, as per your query, no further blog-commenting, RSS, pinging, boosting is necessary, cause most links will get indexed eventually over time naturally without raising any red flag in Google, however it takes a little more time to get those indexed. You can of course do commenting, RSS etc. to get those links indexed faster and get faster result, however doing so always comes with a little risk of making google suspicious. But if your site is aged enough and have a little PR at least, there shouldn't be any problem.
