How many keywords/keyphrases are a good amount per niche? I managed to get around 250 terms for a niche but have trouble raising it without using the buy keywords and typos.

This depends on many things and there is no right or wrong amount. You can usuall benefit from having a few extra (as long as they are relevant and targetted), but there is also such a thing as too many keywords. Test, analyze, and eliminate or add as necessary.

Nice tutorial, one thing tho:
IMO typo generators are next to useless when using adcenter. You can get huge keyword lists with them that's true but MSN just hasn't enough traffic for this to be worth it IMO. I used to use a typo generator but I noticed that it wouldn't boost my traffic in any way. The only thing that happened is that I reached my 100k keyword limit at adcenter very quickly :/
What I do now is search google for "common missspellings keyword". Many sites try to rank for typos too and put this somewhere at the botton of the page and those are the typos that people actually accidently enter.
