You're not going to be managing your own server with a vanilla install in a few days -- installing & configuring Nginx, mySQL, PHP / Python, maybe Perl, DNS, Postfix / Sendmail, locking it down, etc. You're in for a nightmare if you go at it on your own.

Just get cPanel.

^ This... It will take time and A LOT of effort to manage your own server. one day shit will not work and you'll spend the entire day trying to fix it. If you're ready to put in that effort then good for you but you should probably just go with cpanel OR check this out
