Hi Guys,

in my niche I have 1 major competitor which I've bought their exact named domain with a .NET TLD. the .NET domain is starting to rank well. I was thinking of using a meta redirect or 301 to point this doorway domain to my money site? is this okay?

I did do a test recently with the doorway domain meta refresh redirecting to the money site however google seemed to have found the money site and in the google webmaster tools instead of having the doorway domain's landing page it showed the money site's homepage. So I'm just a little worried.

what does everyone think about this approach?

Thanks,

meta refresh worked for us... but in google webmaster it's actually the moneysite image that's shown.. and when I google my doorway domain the money site comes up so I'm a little worried.

increase it to 2 or 3 seconds... i would say 5+ plus but that should make google stop

something like anonym.to

if you make a short / reditect link using
anonym.to it will make you wait a few seconds before redirecting you to the real site...
so maybe you should try something similar

increase refresh time

sure, that's all fine but does google just follow through the doorway domain to the moneysite like that? is that normal. also if your doorway domain gets banned will any of that badness gets passed onto the money site ?
