Dos Santo vs Velasquez 2

What a interesting fight...

I didn't get a chance to see the whole fight, but I saw the first round.

It seemed like this was a case of who wanted it more. JDS didn't even look like his normal self out there. You could tell cain wanted it more. I don't know what to think about that fight. Cain obviously kicked his ass, but at the same time it looked like JDS didn't even give a fuck...

For some reason JDS was already spent by the end of round 1, then later got a second wind. I thought it was very unusual for a champion to go into a potential 5 round fight and not be in good enough shape to last at least the first few rounds, but then again it could have been due to that very hard right hook Cain landed early on.

Good call Russ86

Thanks, I've watched both of these fighters pretty carefully, especially JDS through his stint in the ultimate fighter and his fights after, so I have a pretty good feel for both of them. I've said on more than one occasion that JDS is one of the most overrated fighters out there. I've never really been impressed by him, always seemed to be a one-trick pony type of fighter. This fight for me was already in the books, there was no way he could get that lucky twice in a row, especially fighting an uninjured Cain.
