OK, this question probably has an obvious answer but here I go anyway. So I create my landing page in photoshop, splice it up and open it up in dreamweaver and I want to write text over the big image I designed in photoshop and I can't. How can I do this?

Depends what the image is. You can set it as a background using CSS. Sounds like you have no idea waht you're doing though so I won't spend much time trying to help.

Ben89 - check out Flash, Fireworks, ColdFusion, Freehand and tutorials for Dreamweaver MX -- while it is a paid membership site, there are many free articles, and one of them might be just what you need to get past this sticking point.

However, I recommend paying for the membership - it comes with a forum where the 30-odd staff members are committed to helping their members work this stuff out -- no matter how basic the question.

Good luck!

OK, forget my original post - here's a more specific question. How do I set an image that I created in photoshop as the background in dreamweaver?

Ok, let me see if I can help -

Once you have spliced, and saved as web, and pasted that html in dreamweaver, look for the splice of the image you want to use as bg, and copy paste it elsewhere. And in its place, set up a css class, with bg that you deleted. Write your test in that space and that should do it.

I think.
