Never, ever did I say I hate gays, I don't. Fact is had a gay bother in law that died of aids and I feel sorry for him and all others that choose to live that lifestyle.

What I did say is that this sort of crap commenting needs to be cut completely from these boards if wickedfire is too be taken seriously by any professional marketers.

Jon was talking about some great changes that are in the works for this site, others were adding to the discussion, and then you chime in with your gay talk nonsense. Users like you and this kind of off topic shit is what needs to be cut as no one is going to pay money to read your off topic childish gay shit comments.

So here's the thing you joined in 2011 so you have no real clue why it's even referred to as the the "Gay Webmaster Forum" since it has basically become an inside joke from back in what early 2008, maybe even 2007.

That one term alone has somehow managed to embed itself into the Wicked Fire culture from very early on, peeling it away is like peeling off our skin.

Now I understand where your coming from if you want to be a tight wad and be professional and wear a suit to work and act pretty than yeah the community needs to be changed in those way's no doubt about it. But trust me your not the one that's going to be influencing those changes.

Never forget those comments you so hate so much, those rude people you so hate, those threads you hate were the early culture of Wicked Fire. It was what made the community stand out, did the community miss out on a lot of members? You bet your ass we did but the community also filtered out all the stupid shits as well, that community wen't onto be called Digital Point and The War.... You know what they don't even deserve to be mentioned here.

All I'm saying is if you cut out the bullshit completely you've destroyed a part of the core atmosphere of what made Wicked Fire such a great place. Additionally I highly doubt you would of lived to see the light of day if you joined back in the 2006 - 2008 Wicked Fire era anyway.

Now Jon on the other hand is like god he can do whatever the fuck he wants since he's one of the owners and he established this community and built it into what it is today. If he wants to go that route and rip Wicked Fire down to it's core and take it in a completely new direction then all the power to him, its his business decision to make, not ours.

Key words "Not Our Decision To Make". We can bitch, scream, kick, wine, hate, or love all we want at the end of the day this isn't a democracy it's a business.

This is very exciting Jon.
I just love what WF represented for a decade now, and will continue supporting it, so count me in no matter what the price will be!

Always thought there were a bunch of very smart people in here (not just in the realm of IM).
Hope that this change will bring this wicked community to the next level, the level where it deserves to be.

And there is no need silence the lingo too much, it's a part of us, it's one of the things that made this place great, its a part of WF culture that was established way back (as Aequitas already mentioned).
 
Wow, Talking about the vibe of this place. Now this is the shit I remember, bring all of the old members out of the damn woodwork. I do not mind intelligent conversations or hell even lending some knowledge, tips, tricks etc. But I felt like the place trended a tier above DP for a long time. Just so happened to stumble in here and saw this thread and I have to admit it does kind of interest me to see what may be in the plans.
 
The beauty of WF back in the early days were the connections, and people were actually more about lending a hand or pointing someone in the right direction. Over time it just got more and more diluted with the Takers and not enough givers. Good topics on Arbi, Link Building, Site Building etc, but over time it got more worseless <--- see what i did there

But if you close it and have 2 sections your issues will be the keeping of the seperation. One may join the top, and move all of that info in the users own words to the lower. That is where your going to find an issue. What real benefit would one have to pay for the lower if it is only a couple of Big Macs cheaper per month?

I see what your saying but that is not always the case. Take for an example I wanted to share some knowledge on Social Linking Strategies.

Now I can come in and give everyone a ton of information to help people get moving in the right direction and help you make some money. Now I may be well past the information that I am providing but if it is still effective and benefits the community why not share.

I may not give you all of the techniques that I am using at this moment ( the ones I discovered by spending thousands on trial and error ) but I could still help the community without over-saturating the market.

Just a thought, I again see exactly where your coming from but the service sellers in and of themselves at times can kick out some nuggets that you could use an increase your roi's. But that is rare, and for the most part if they are selling you a service and giving you some talking points, then you better bet they are giving that same info out to everyone else who tries the service.
 
I know I'm new around here, and to be perfectly honest, I regret not finding this place sooner.

I'm almost embarrassed to say where I started out, but I'm sure most of you can guess. It was also around the time that WickedFire had just started; pisses me off so much just to think about it, missed out on a lot of good stuff.

I do a lot of lurking around here, and have done for quite some time now; not out of selfishness, but just because I didn't think I had anything valuable to post. All I have to say is that these new changes sound very exciting, and it's something that I'd very much like to be a part of, given the chance.
