Giladg, i think you misunderstood me. As an employer yes you have to have their social security number. As a potential employee you do not have to give them your social. For instance if someone came into my office and filled out an app but left the social blank. I will end up asking them for their social. I could not hire them if they did not give it to me, but i also could not force the potential employee to give me their social. Legally they don't have to give it to me at all.
