I feel like it had to of been plugged in to the wall do the kind of damage they are saying it did. I wouldnt be surprised if he was one of those guys that customizes their ecigs too, one article said he had been using them for 2 years.

They are tiny aren't they? Size of a cigarette.

No idea what kind of power they run on, would have to be some kind of lithium battery? Point being, whatever powers these things, unless you had some high powered explosive and a tiny blasting cap inside it, the energy from whatever power source these use is impossible to do what the article says happened.

I've actually seen a few stories like this... All of them were because the batteries were modded to give higher voltage (more voltage = more vapor).

I've never heard of a non-modified one doing that.

Since I've moved on to ECigs the cough/sore throats are gone, lungs feel clearer, sense of smell has improved, saved tons of money etc. Use a decent brand and you'll have much better design/quality control whereby things like this won't happen.

The ones my friends use are about 5 inches long and have a 2 inch lithium battery with voltage regulators.

Jac Vapour (based in Scotland).

The Cappuccino/Chocolate flavours are amazing in 11/12mg. Also got the Tobacco Reds USA today that is similar to a Marlboro cig. There are tons of flavours to try as well. Never wanted a cig since moving on to these. It's just a bitch when you run out and have to get the crappy disposable ones whilst waiting on the next delivery.

I think 18mg/24mg is great for the tobacco flavours. You get a good throat hit and the sensation is very close to real cigs. The sweeter flavours taste better with lower medium nicotine levels though imo.

i completely agree--- flavors like apple, pomegranate, peach, pineapple, etc are much better at lower mg. The richer flavors like vanilla, coffee, honey, etc, I love mixing with USA blend or cigar flavors. My favorite is still just USA 24mg straight.

The flavor when used with a tank instead of a cartridge is unreal. I quit smoking Lucky Strikes in favor of it.

then i tried them. smoked them for about 3 weeks my throat started hurting to the point where i couldn't swallow food!

oh and edit: i've heard these things "crack" several times while taking a really long pull

Sounds like an allergic reaction to propylene glycol.

Most decent brands will offer vegetable glycerine as a replacement.
