End Racism Now: It's Time to Hold Blacks Accountable for Their Actions

It's sometimes referred to as the "soft bigotry of low expectations..."

...

You see it everywhere really. Crime, education, economics - I'm not saying all liberals are racist, but a lot of them are and they don't even realize it. They think it's just empathy, and that's not to say you shouldn't have empathy for individuals that come from certain circumstances, but to apply your low expectations to an entire group of people based on skin color is the very definition of racism.

I admit, I presented a ton of crazy rhetoric with my OP, but basically, this is what I'm getting at. You just articulated it perfectly, whereas I went way overboard with it.

I'm not trying to remove historical context from the black community, but I'll be damned if blacks aren't still in "inferior" mode.

It just pisses me off, cuz now I have to deal with a bunch of condescending liberals who want to placate me by appealing to "white privilege" in every other conversation.

It's like, "FUCK YOU!" You don't know me. You don't know black culture. You don't know the level of self-oppression that goes on in America.

I'm just sick of blacks being treated as 2nd class citizens. I want it to change, but I realize it's only going to change if:

1. Rational white people start blatantly calling this shit out.
2. Rational black people start blatantly calling this shit out.
3. Irrational black people stop seeing themselves as 2nd class citizens and start stepping up to the fucking plate.

1 & 2 have to precede 3, unfortunately. Societal pressure is a bitch.

They don't really give the full context of his comments, but it would appear that he is saying that it is more important for public servants to act properly than it is for everyone else.

This is a fantastic point. Moxie never ceases to amaze me with his data-driven perspective.

However, you can't deny there still exists an inherently asymmetric relationship between white and black expectation.

Black people are the "underdogs." White people are the privileged "oppressors."

Even without the State involved, whites are seen to have a monopoly on grace, sophistication, and intelligence.

Hence the term, "white-washed." The subtext being, "we expect to white people to act superior to blacks. Therefore, if you're black and defy stereotypes, you're basically a white person. Blacks are inferior, you see. Get in your place, boy."

Both blacks and whites are complicit in promoting the myth of black inferiority. It will stop when people decide to hold EVERYONE to the same standard instead of making excuses because of "culture" and past/present injustice.

Why do people only care about dead black people when they die at the hands of white people?

Because any other story/narrative won't captivate staggering numbers of duds and pay for all that advertising that the "news" is shoehorned into...
