EPIC football commercial

Football - Also Known As the BEAUTIFUL GAME. A real sport played with your FEET and an actual round BALL, hence the name FOOTBALL.
This term should never be used to refer to our silly american game of putting on 30 pounds of armor and carrying a cone shaped piece of rubber while trying not to be touched by other guys. You'll note the lack of definitions calling this silly game football. And there is a reason for that.
Some silly americans give us a bad name by not noticing what is going on in the rest of the world and don't realize that there was already a real sport called football when we made up our game, but everyone else in the world knows whats up.

Truly epic pic :)

If we didn't wear pads, some of the hits would literally kill the players. Hence, you are WEAK - like your leads! :D

Looking at this pic it actually speaks volumes...and not so much in the favor of rugby. Padding or armor allows harder hits. As mentioned a helmet is not only protection but a weapon as well.

Lemme clarify with pictures..

All fun though! :rasta:

These arguments back and forth are silly.

Football vs. NFL: "Soccer" was not coined by America, so just drop it. Second, soccer is the most popular world sport because A. Its much older than American Football AND much easier to play economically. Soccer only needs a ball and a makeshift goal. Competitive American Football needs a complete outfit and padding for each player. Plus American Football skills are mostly developed AGAINST other players, where as soccer skills can be developed alone on a dusty road in wherethefreakeverinthe3rdworldakidlives.
Both are great sports. But soccer appears superior because of the mass appeal that really has little to do with the quality of the game at its highest level.

Football vs. Rugby. Come on. Rugby players are badass, but physically speaking they would be CRUSHED by NFL players. You go get a team of NFL players and spend a year practicing Rugby and they would physically demolish whatever team they played. They wouldn't WIN against the premier Rugby teams, but they would physically demolish them. There is no real comparison between the two sports physically.

LOL sense LOL

Yeah yeah... I knew all this but this thread keeps popping up and I had to respond. Especially after pulling John Cleese into the argument.

Though I think there is no resolution here and this will continue even long after there is peace in the Middle East and we all follow one Religion.
