Extreme Productivity - Drugs, Mindset, Something Else?

You need to know what you need to do.

And to know what you need to do you must plan.

I find Asian Efficiency – Time Management and Productivity's OmniFocus articles to be fan-fucking-tastic. Only problem is that it's written by 2 guys and they each alternate showing you their approaches.

When you hit rock-bottom productivity, spend a day or two adopting OmniFocus. Works great for me, combined with time tracking and Pomodoro.

Yeah, probably overboard for some, but it works great for me.

The problem is that, as someone else said in this thread, once you start something for 5 minutes you are not going to want to stop. You take a 5 minute break and it will quickly turn into an hour.

That's bullshit. Set the timer and stick to it.

A few months ago I started with a Pomodoro spin off of 50 min work sessions/10 minute breaks with a timer and its transformed my productivity.

Before I'd sit down and "work" hours on end but constantly bounce around and multitask without getting much of anything done.

These 10 minute breaks allow me to take a breather. I'll typically do some physical activity, grab a drink of water, etc. Once I hear the 10 minutes are up, I'm back on to the next task.

Best thing you can do to improve productivity is to go and do 1 of 2 things. Go take out a big fat loan that you can barley afford or go and buy something that's going to eat up a lot of cash. Either way the additional obligations will really help your focus. You will know you need to pay for this or your screwed and will get more done in less time and make more money.

This method will not work if your a compulsive spender, if this describes you do not try this (you already are in to much debt) it wont help
