Also, if you do contact a rep about it, I can almost guarantee they'll tell you it's your problem, not theirs. This is for two reasons:

1) It probably is a problem with your page
2) Facebook doesn't take responsibility for anything, ever.

Well Facebook fucking sucks. I can't even get rep to return my emails

BTW- it's definitely not a problem with my page as it happened on two sites.

I started a new campaign that was VERY niche and targeted. I am getting 100% bounce rate on around the 30 clicks it has brought me today. I am going to let it finish out today and then pause it if this doesn't stop.

Cancel it now. Or just watch each click cost you more.

Hmmm, well, considering the average time spent on my site is 2 minutes 14 seconds, I don't think it has anything to do with me, yet only FB advertising.

And, when he is having the same problem, I am trying to help him save money.

Now I would like to see bprimeelite come back and fill us in on how the rest of the day went (probably the same results).

I am not stating FB sucks for everyone or every site, but I am 0/2, and will never advertise with them again.

You can't get people to stay on your facebook ad for even a second and you're giving other people suggestions on how to run their campaign?

Also, do you honestly believe that out of 200+ visits (legit visits) it is even possible to have a 100% bounce rate with not a single person staying for longer then 1 second?

I paused the campaign and started it back up the next day with a time on site of 45 seconds and bounce rate of around 76%. None of the traffic converted but it was a ringtone campaign so that was sort of expected.

This was something we talked about at the OC Meet up. A number of people that spend a decent amount on FB have been noticing an increase in bounce rate. It's not just overall though but is targeted and will hit specific ads at specific times of the day. This would lend to the conclusion that someone has decided rather than do there own shit they will just try to fuck up the competetion in order to make money. This will probably continue to get expotentially worse until FB steps in and does something to prevent bot clicks.

Yet another fucked up piece of Facebook incompetence. What with the retarded staff who hate affiliates, artificial price floors and now traffic from bots. Facebook ads could be run better by school children.

This is a very logical suggestion that nobody has voiced here yet. I know I sure as hell click on ads for what are inevitably affiliate programs--market research baby.

That said, it isn't too big of a leap to to assume that somebody somewhere is trying to drive up competitor costs with cheap Indian labor making fake clicks or something.

I've heard of people that do well off FB ads, but they can't compete with app traffic. FB traffic in general isn't useless, I think it's just FB's ad size/placement model that is holding it back.
