Just got an email about a survey on my "experience" with Facebook ads. Everybody here should take it and give their input. In the last comments box I put :

Allow diet and rebill ads, these sorts of offers all all BUYER BEWARE. It only hurts their experience on Facebook if they choose to click the ad.

People see around a 0.10% CTR on these ads, maybe a little higher. So out of the 0.10% that click, probably 2% of that number actually sign up for the product AND complain about it AND want a chargeback on their credit card.

We're talking about such a small percentage of unhappy Facebook users in return for a massive boost in FB ad revenue. The pros outweigh the cons and if you want Facebook ads to be 10x as successful and profitable, you'll allow ads like these to run.

Scene: Mark Zuckerberg sitting behind large oak desk, glass of Mountain Dew Livewire glowing orange in his hand.

Intern: Sir, we just got this message. It's from...an affiliate!
Zuck: Really? An affiliate? They're the reason I started this site.
Intern: Yes sir, I know. Well, anyway, he suggests that you...make more money!
Zuck: It's genius. And who is this affiliate?
Intern: Uber, sir.

Zuckerberg smiles and clicks his mouse. Facebook Ad policies instantly changed as Facebook becomes Acai berry portal, Acaibook.

It is all part of Paul's evil plan for dominating us. First the ubercamp. Then the sick-of-selfishness-lonely-upright-guy. Then the I-am-not-afraid-to-admit-failure-people, followed by I-came-back-so-gloriously. Now this.

Well as usual, things can change rapidly and you can come to realizations on things that influence your business and can completely turn it around.

And I don't promote acai.

And how much money do you make?

Wow, whats the current tally on goober fails?

Your just a fuckin hypocrite GTFO.

Damn that blog post reminded me of when M.C. Hammer sold out.

Damn Uber I wonder what niche you are in. You must be promoting the mircale water offer , or maybe the sands of Christ.

Green Tea/Acai Berry Diet Pills
These *** charge $90 for a 1 month supply bottle and just rebill the persons credit card every month....Is it worth making a lot of money for yourself when you know that you had to screw literally thousands of people to do it? Just think about the kind of negative effect you’re having on all these peoples lives.

Explain why that is not hypocrisy, and why no one should call you a hypocrite.

Maybe he has just rationalized the situation and doesn't feel guilty about it anymore.

ie, people in general are idiots and deserve to be punished, so let the rebills flow.

Notice the massive gap between the two things you just mentioned? It's called time, and many things can change over time.

If I made that post on my blog and the next day posted this, it would be pure hypocrisy. Sure it looks hypocritical when you look at it like that too, but you're forgetting the element of TIME.

And my argument to Facebook dealt with rebills in general, acai/weight loss is clearly the most popular one so that's what I used. Not all rebills sell sugar powder.

Explain why that is not hypocrisy, and why no one should call you a hypocrite.
