Facebook Decides to Stop Screwing Over Affiliates

I think Facebook is having a hard time finding a middleground between providing a positive user experience to the users, and making some decent coin from advertisements/offers that don't jive with their attempted commitment to a high quality network.

Taking that further, Facebook's issue is not with "affiliates" but more specifically certain types offers affiliate promote, such as neg. option billing offers that don't (in most cases) that don't add value to to the experience of it's users.

I have no doubt that facebook makes a significant amount of money on these ads, as (my assumption) they are usually much more interesting and enticing to click/explore than regular ads from traditional advertisers.

Eventually users will start making a disctinct conenction between facebook and advertisements promoting scammy offers.

"Do you love money? Learn how to make xxxx/month from Google" is much more enticing ad to users than "10% off t-shirts at our ecommerce" store. That said, these same offers are of extremely low quality and benefit to the users in the long term, and facbeook is struggling with increasing advertising revenue and creating a positive user experience for its members.

I think you guys are looking at this wrong. The people receiving this email (or at least I) are losing their account reps that you can actually CALL in exchange for slow email support. How is that helping us? Sounds like a downgrade of service to me.

Good News Everyone!

Let us know if this new "team" turns out to be Jeff Iden. A few weeks ago I got automatically switched from my previous rep to Jeff Iden against my will, apparently because Jeff is now the rep for all affiliates. Jeff doesn't get anything done in remotely close to 24 hours, probably because he's too swamped dealing with too many affiliates.

I've tried contacting multiple FB reps to try to get switched away from Jeff Iden, but they all tell me they're not allowed to deal with affiliates anymore, and they refer me back to Jeff.

On another note, disapprovals have been insane lately - I don't think the stupid interns even look at the ads. I fall waaay within the guidelines and can't get anything approved.

Yeah and a month ago I was switched to Jeff to another rep...

I had a rep before who helped, but didn't do anything to get ads approved except tell me that the reviewer is in another country so they are seeing different LP's. Yeah, that is real helpful....not.
