I've been spending the past month or two trying to figure out the mind fuck better known as Facebook advertising and have stumbled onto my best CTR % to date, the problem is that somehow I still ended up more broke than I started. Details below....

Zoosk UK Gay dating offer with Elite Clicks Media, direct linked
Ran for 24hrs
Impressions: 16,306
Clicks: 41
CTR %: 0.251%
Average CPC: $0.23
Sale: 1 ($3.80)

My newbie mind is guessing that the offer was the problem? Should I have used a LP perhaps? Do British gay men just not like Zoosk?
 


You're actually going to have to get on cam and solicit the gay's yourself to get them to convert.

Since I never saw the "Zoosk is a dating app strictly for heterosexual males and females only" warning label in my Elite Clicks Media account I figured everyone and their freaking bisexual, transgendered, illegal alien collecting welfare checks and food stamps mother were hooking up through Zoosk.

I send a bunch of gays to a non gay dating site and get my very best CTR...just wow...

I dont know if gay british dudes like zoosk or not, but the only way you're gonna find out is running more ads. since that one isnt profitable, try a diff one...and just out of curiosity why did you target gay men? IMO zoosk is geared more towards straight ppl, but who knows...you might be onto something
 
You need more data to know the true conversion rate and to know if this is profitable. Also, with more data, the CPC should go down.

Also true...I've found some ads that didn't convert for the first day or two, but I kept running them and voila! money makers. funny how things work sometimes.
 
Thanks, everyone. As far as the whole gay dating thing, I just figured I'd try a different angle, think outside the heterosexual dating box.

My CPC had actually went down quite a bit, I believe I started off at like $0.60. I had made up a bunch of ads targeting different age groups, then I took the best ad in that bunch and tried it against a new bunch of new ads with different pics...along the way I found out that gays guys and myself have different ideas on what physical qualities are hot lol....but anyway...I'm just going to keep tweaking.
 
i cant believe this thread has gone this far and not one person has said a word about the blowjob techniques e-book.. but anyway like you said keep tweaking..high CTR is going to get you the ROI you need and the cheap click costs but rotate offers and don't forget to keep tweaking headlines and adcopy that can have a huge affect on conversions...also split test an LP if you think you can build a decent one..

Gay guys or girls? Big difference, either way you'll get kicked off the offer if you do any kind of volume...
