Has any one else had the facebook values for spent today showing A LOT higher than the p202? Even with All clicks it's very high. Almost $x,xxx over bill.

Same.

Oddly enough, it shows my Daily Spent in the upper right as a much higher number than my totals of each campaign for today.

Yeapers

Same here.

It just started yesterday. I thought there was something wrong with P202, but the log files verify the nonexistent visitors.

Yep, I noticed this last night when I launched a new campaign. After the stats first updated Facebook said it sent 22 visitors, I checked my visitor log and manually counted and there were only 12 sent. And I was charged for all those visitors, I've since paused that campaign.

I think the range of the discrepancy increases when I do a lot of create similar ads, but if i do that then stop doing it then it'll stay the same. Weird shit.

Happening to me too. I only had one campaign running overnight, but the discrepancy is around 32% more clicks in FB than P202.

I ran a campaign on FB last night and had 715 clicks accorinding to FB, my stats show only 350 hits. Is FB overcharging us?

Hmm I am seeing about maybe 20% more clicks in facebook than i'm tracking but thats about the same as yesterday and i find fb typically over reports or either clicks get lost somewhere I believe its mainly from people clicking multiple times as fb will charge up to 5 times a day i believe and prosper will filter out multi clicks. Hmm that reminds me i need to edit prosper to not filter those out.

where is your tracking code? if it is at the bottom of the page then you wont count as many visitors. try changing that. facebook always says more visitors though, so do most traffic sources.

Logs

Check your raw log files - same as what P202 is reporting in my case. This is not a P202 issue. Facebook has never had this much discrepancy and overbilling, this is a new 'improvement' in their revenue plan.

The same happens to me, a lot more lately. Around 20/25% over reporting of clicks from fb. Maybe they count stupid users who double clicks the ads.

I asked Keith from FB about this issue 3 weeks ago, he said he would investigate but I haven't had an answer yet.

You can just select "Show all clicks"...

Here is the response I got:

I have no idea what is going on. I will reach out to a few people internally to see if I can find an answer. Usually there is not much that we can do regarding our ad tracking process for individual accounts, but I will see what I can do.

My mistake

I missed them on my first quick scans of the log files, but I was wrong, there is a discrepancy between what p202 is showing and what my log files show. In all cases, they appear to be automated, there is a single call for the index page but no call for the supporting files. These are not reported in p202. So basically I am paying for bots, and for some reason the percentage has increased lately.

I did finally receive a canned response, not worth posting here.
