Facebook Social Ads

Just a heads up, facebook looks like they're implementing socialads flagging by end users:

When you click on the hands up, a prompt shows up which asks you to say what you liked about the ad. You can select from “Interesting”, “Relevant to Me” and “Good Offer.” There are a number of things that show up when you vote the ad negatively including “Misleading”, “Offensive”, “Pornographic” and a number of others.

No shit, those lazy little fucks. The Facebook Intern Nazi Party (FINP) that approves ads apparently just isn't good enough.

FINP has some good interns.......err I think they have one. It seems like if you submit an ad and approves like that. Then keep submitting ads and have a bunch of ads approve that are in there grey area (ex. using a picture of a girls head, using the word hot, etc) Anyways lets say you come back maybe an hour later and try to submit another ad.

Well then some douche bag over at facebook is like OMG who the fuck approved this girls face. And what is this a dating site with ADULTS!! on the page (singles.net or true). Then they ban your fucking account. I hate those fuckers with a passion. It is all luck if you get your ad approve. Even if it doesn't violate the TOS. Its like they want you to have a shitty CTR and ROI.

Fucking cock suckers

well with in 24 hours they fixed my cc issue and now today my outstanding balance is double what it should be...

what did facebook say when you contacted them about this? cause i think they billed me quite a bit more than they should have and the difference is close to the total of all failed payments.

Anyone else unable to create new ads using the dropdown from your old ads on facebook today? No error it just doesn't work and kicks me back to the ad manager page.

I cannot get a certain ad approved because my target audience is not relevant? Weird, I am targetting the right people.

This sucks dick.

Any ideas?

Here's a tip: Don't email them and ask for a spending limit increase. Just don't do it.

Sigh.....

Wow they didn't even give you a chance to scan/fax a copy of your credit card and drivers license? If not you might want to give it a try and ask them to put you on the low end of the daily limit for a month or two and see if they budge.

What kind of CTR is considered reasonable to the point where your impressions dont die off after the first day?

I've been trying ads such as make money, scholorships, dating, and various submit offers. I still have yet to get a CTR over .08% (which I know is horrible).

well...even if you have .08 ctr, just put a good bid $...and if offers converting, you should still profit... im gettin lotsa impressions for some of my ads which im paying like 15-20 ppc....play around with the cpc to see when impressions jump

What is your CPC at? and how profitable is it?

15k impressions, 9 clicks, ah - facebook.

Test test test. Try new pictures and new text. For Christ sakes if you have to make 30+ ads a day - then do it. I almost didn't think it was possible to get over .1, but I busted out at over .8%-1.2% which allowed me to get litterly .01-.05 clicks. Just hit it right.

Now if that LP was worth anything.....

I have been able to get .08% to go for a while - although not optimal. You end up paying a bunch for those clicks, but you have to choice because what your promoting is just not getting clicks.

I have never had a campain or ad just die on me [unless I have a .04 or less CTR], which I guess I'm lucky

Apparently they undercharged me at the end of last month...I didn't notice because the reports off facebook don't report what you were billed and I don't check the billing section often.

It seems like Facebook is now under the motto of their partner Microsoft. "If it's broke, release it anyways."
