So I am just starting to use facebook as a medium and wanted to get some feedback on how other people feel about it.

At first glance it seemed nice and streamlined. First thing I noticed is how if you make any minor changes to the ad it has to go through the approval process all over again. So just an FYI to anyone who hasn't started to use FB make sure it is right the first time because the approval process take forever each time.

Second I ran the exact same ad with a different photo and had the ad rejected has anyone else had this issue?

Third thing about FB, I was told that the CPC was a lot cheaper but I am experiencing 1.30-1.40 CPC on a dating ad that is paying out 7.00. Is this really the cheap CPC that I am reading about???? Just doesn't seem cheaper than AdCenter.

Not really sure What I am looking for out of this thread except maybe what other people experiences are with FB and anything that might be useful for a newbie on FB.

Thanks,

Forgot the other thing I am trying to figure out. How am I supposed to track FB campagins there isn't a place to put a tracking link. I am using tracking 202 so I am not sure where I am supposed to put the tracking that they provide.

Yeah i'm wondering the same thing (for the bidding) Although im using social ads tool at the moment and it tracks conversions fine :-D

Depends on the demographic, but you should be able to get it lower than that. Test different age groups, add some "likes", etc.

So I gave up on that first campaign and have started a new campaign on FB.

New Campaign

Date Offer

Targeting women 35+

payout: 3.50

I have ran the ad for a couple days and have spent a total of 120 bucks on 112 clicks almost 500,000 impressions and a dismal CTR of .024% with sales totaling $17.50. My demo is 35+ and was considering breaking this down to age groups spread out every 5 years (example: 35-40;40-45;45-50 and so forth).

I need to find some better pictures but have yet to find any good ones that are pics of either a black guy or black couple any idea where I could find some?

I want to try and make this a profitable campaign but without any decent images I am stuck on this and I really think that I could make this work if I can figure the picture part out

yeah I know it is as weak as it gets right now that's why I am trying to figure out where to go and get some good pics to download the interweb is racist and I can only find white people pics I need some good black guy or black couple pics any suggestions on where to look?

You have to know clearly about what you want to get from fb. I think fb is useful for business.

I agree that it is hard to find black people pics with GPL/attribution licenses. I found a few decent quality photos at Iclipart.com but it was sort of by accident. It's about 60 a year for the cheapest subscription. i've been using the pics in powerpoints pretty well
