fake begger makes $100,000 a year

a lawyer i used to work with pretended to be a begger for a case he was working on for a week, and made $5000 (in NYC). He proceeded to quit his job, and is happier than ever. Still has a ferrari + 2 new rovers. I shit you not, this is not internet folklore.

In philly i have seen beggers "finish their shifts" and get into $50,000 cars to drive home. Theres a husband and wife team on the boulevard all the time, i just wink and wave at them and they laugh back.

it's probably also $5,000/week tax free, which is more like making $10,000 a week... which is real money.

People who give money to beggars usually do it to assuage whatever non-specific guilt they may be harbouring.

I have no problem with that he's doing - if I saw him now, I'd give him some cash. He's a street entertainer.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not a heinous way to earn a living. He causes a good deal less societal harm as a result of much less bullshit than most economists, for example.

People give money to bums to feel good about themselves. I don't see how the authenticity of the bum makes any difference if you have no idea. People get the same good feels either way.

I'd never give money to a homeless person, if somebody was really in a situation they wanted to get out of then they'd be happy with something to eat or a low paying job and somewhere to sleep.

I've done both before and it's worked out with mixed results (a lot of beggars will happily spit on you if you offer them food or work) but at the same time you can help decent people get out of a crappy situation so it all works out.

Fuck respecting the hustle, you guys all act like we are gangsters working the streets that have some type of code. People that pretend to be beggars deserve a little street justice, and by street justice I mean somebody should stab them in the fucking eyes.

What you don't understand is that panhandlers are marketers just like the rest of us.

Every day we tap into people's insecurities about their weight, their skin, their teeth, in the hopes that they purchase our bullshit products.

Homeless people are just tapping into other emotions to generate their conversions.

Whether he is actually homeless or not is irrelevant. People still buy my skin creams even though I'm not a dermatologist.

Agree 100%.

I don't like those fuckers walking near my car or pestering me every time I walk out of the store, but they wouldn't be there if the 20 retards before me didnt give them their change.

Agreed. I'd curbstomb those mofos with Dresdens nazi steel tip boots,

I was coming in here to say how is this any different than half the internet marketers out there and saw it was said multiple times already.

Kinda proud of the people in this thread.

Protip: If you aren't sure if the beggar in front of you is truly needy, give them your meal left overs. When they throw it back at you, then you know.

Unless you live somewhere where there are no Hare Krishnas, they don't need food.
