Fake Facebook Traffic - HUUUGE SPIKE

Well the problem seems to be getting worse so I guess it's time to pause my campaigns. Those fucks at facebook never take any advice on board so it wouldn't surprise me if this kept happening for another couple months. Oh well, I hope a bigger company that spends alot with them will sue their ass off.

^^ That's exactly what I was hoping. Many of us got the email about the big advertiser coming in Monday to take all the impressions for US females. Lets hope the bots hit those ads hard.

Ok. So I have a ton of ads paused and they have been paused for at least a month. yet i am still getting visitors from india everyday. how does that work?

they are scanning your server and hitting every integer in the URL to see all your offers

block them at the server / firewall level... best you can do.

i wish prosper would encrypt the tracking ID and not just use some 4 digit number or whatever.

wow wtf. I'm doing small advertising on facebook, and I'm getting a part of clicks from Netscape...these clicks have no operation system nor does the click have any referring URL....

and nope, they never convert.... Definitely sounds fishy O.o

they are coming from a shit ton of ip's. do it one by one? lame.

Just ran a campaign.

I got 196 clicks.
Facebook charged me for 403.

Thx Facebook. Totally sweet!

Today I received 30 clicks from the same IP, on multiple demos. Fuck you FB.

Edit: These 30 clicks are from Japan, yet I'm only advertising in US/Canada. So fuckin gay.

Edit again (since I'm scrolling downward in my logs): Found more larger batchs of identical IPs 34, 30, 69, 32, 28. The 69 clicks coming from the identical IP is a 20 min drive from my place, maybe I should pay that fuck a visit with my baseball bat.

Has Facebook already started doing anything against it or has someone got an official response from them regarding this problem? It seems that almost everyone is having this problem, even on international campaigns, so the question I´m asking myself is if there´s really an idiot from CA clicking every facebook ads urls without following the redirects to the landing pages OR is facebook just evil enough and doesnt want to admit that they´re just OVERCHARGING and OVERREPORTING like myspace with their cc issure several months ago?

Video it = $20 via paypal. I don't care about the baseball bat, just wanna see who it is.

I am soooo tempted. This fuck has already hit me up with 15 clicks today, what a dumb shit using the same IP to perform all these clicks.

I will also offer $20 for that video. Better be the real deal though.. no hiring fake actors to look scared.

@Jony.. you only offered $20? I thought you made like 150k a month and you offer $20.. j/k with you :)
