Fake forums, anyone tried these for promoting shit.

I've been looking for some youtube bots, accounts, gmails etc for stuff I want to try this last couple of days and I always end up on forums (rather than blogs, review sites etc).

There is something about a bunch of people on a forum saying that something is good that makes it more trustworthy than all that other shit, even for someone who has a little idea about the missleading stuff that goes on in IM.

So what if you were to send someone from a presell page or article with "take a look at this post I found on a forum about acai" or whatever. Then you have a bunch of people talking about how awesome this one product is, the conversion rate would be insane no?

So what I need now is a forum generator that works, are there any alternatives to forum generator from blackhatzen?

I like it. But the landing page should be a forum thread.

Best way I see this working is really investing time to make it seem like a legit forum. We are talking about couple hundred posts at min. Have a section for natural weight loss, and make sure that most people that post there are not seeing results. Then have a section for quick loss weight, and this is where you create threads on the Acai Berries. Mix in a couple other products, and make sure you write that those didn't work. Have most of the spotlight on your berry by sticking the thread, have a lot of positive comments with before/after pics in it.
Also people to register but do approval needed on posts.

Anyhow, thanks for the share. Will get it done in 2wks.

Split tested this against a flog, slightly lower conversion rate. Not everyone knows or has even seen a forum, but just about everyone reads a blog that belongs to a celebrity, sports player, or the local news anchor in Possum Trot Alabama (yes its real) has a blog.

We tried a forum generator several months ago, invested about $100K to automate it. Unfortunately the results weren't good. Here's what happened:

- The CTR's were terrible no matter what we tried. This is because they were looking for info - not looking to buy.

- People just click around the forum and figure out there's no real info there. They can figure out that it's fake after awhile.

- We tried using existing forums, but the complexity of integration is impossible without a lot more money in development work. There are a ton of dependencies and errors everywhere if you try to just insert data. You can't automate the data because the whole architecture is intended to prevent that from happening and there are a thousand little checks and errors.

- The best way to do it is to use a conventional forum and manually insert your posts. Then replicate that instance.

So as you can tell we thought it would be awesome too, but the deeper in we got it became really expensive, and we were just not getting the CTR's anyway. Bummer.

wait wait wait...you mean to tell me wickedfire isn't a a fakum?

lol, funny thing is that since I got this idea, I have started to think that every service or product thread is bullshit.

Some asshole like me trying to trick me with my own idea.

Were you preselling them first?

My idea is to presell someone, then kinda say "don't take my word for it though, look what all these ordinary folks are saying" so they can clickthrough on the forum or close it and clikthrough on the presell.

Were you doing seo or how were you promoting your generated forums?

Oh, that's a good idea with the presell.

In that case, I would just use forum html as your php template, and put in the variables you normally would for a landing page. That way you are getting all the trustworthiness of the forum yet keeping it simple to build with.

That would rock, especially if you hosted that forum elsewhere. In fact you could have different sections (threads) for each of your products!

That's totally different from what we were doing. They were SEO forums, we were tackling automating the entire thing.

Yeah, that could work if I have no other option. The problem with that is that it will be easy to prove as a fake forum, I mean my idea is kindof: real working forum + fake users/posts = hard for anyone to figure out the forum isn't real = less chance of my ass getting raped. If that makes sense?

I suggest contacting and cutting in some forum owners - paying them off (revshare) in exchange for moderating the threads and trashing comments that negatively affect the product image.

Will never work on highly known forums, but a lot of forum owners are affiliates and most don't make much money.

Find one that has some niche and figure out a way to cut in the admin and the mods (maybe fire product to the mods or something) and get them (legitimately) talking about it.

Good idea, kinda like renting youtube vids/accounts.

I dont see how this can work better than farticle.

Farticle ads showing up on news site = authority.

One time I designed a lp I call it Fakebook, facebook profile replica except it is showing a lady losing weight.

Friends, wall post, comments, everything, you name it, I got it, but I can't get that shit to approve anywhere. I failed.

I've never used a Fakum so I don't know how they convert, but I have eaten a Steak-umm and if flavor is the action Steak-umms convert 100% of the time.
