I don't know about a mean streak. It's the same as how someone might act like a dick when some crazy motherfucker at the gas station starts trying to tell you about how he needs $2 to take the bus to get to his mom's funeral. After a while you just get tired of people approaching you that you want nothing to do with, and the easiest way to cut it short is to be a dickhead (or a bitch).

I'm sure it's exhausting having guys who aren't remotely attractive or interesting decide that they should "just take a shot" cause they have "nothing to lose", when in doing so they just waste your time (and their own).

Of course if he does it enough it's going to work eventually, so, you know. Run that game, bro.
 


If he stopped stuttering like a jackass and asking pointless questions he might actually pick one of those chicks up, regardless of his weight. Props for at least getting out there, though.

This. Having confidence is more important than looks (to a degree obviously). I'm skinny and have a six pack but it doesn't change the fact that I can't approach a girl, and have no self confidence. And whenever a girl approaches me I shoot them down so hard it hurts (but I dont mean too). So now I just resorted to smiling awkwardly whenever I talk to a girl and I think that creates an error.

See, I have no problem having verbal exchanges with human males, but it seems I cant successfully have verbal exchanges with females, cause well I am just like either DAT ASS or DEM TITS.

Props for having the courage. I do this stuff everyday at malls and local colleges not his pick up shit but learning to kill the shyness and build your confidence is really important.

Simply try saying hi , introducing yourself, and starting a conversation---without being nervous but making eye contact, smile etc.

or try a few openers like some members above mentioned

Girls can smell fear on any guy and it's important to teach yourself to become comfortable and confident when talking with them.

Accept rejection and Accept Failure and you will become more of a risk taker. And learn to adopt a " I don't give a fuck what people think attitude"

Looks are not as important as Attitude that is what girls pay more attention to.

having said that his weight didn't really help him that much but at least he had the courage to go out there and try.

Dude has balls, but he has to stop saying "like." It drives me up the fucking wall when people use "like" when trying to say something.
