So last week I broke down and spent nine bucks on this beauty:

For those of you who are hermits, this thing filters the water when you pour it into the upper reservoir, into the lower one, where it can be poured. It's a pretty nice system, and great for a college girl like me where you have to limit fridge space in the dorm.

Any other filtration ideas you can give me? Water bottles suck ass.

Don't filter and/or store your water in plastic containers. Use glass jugs. You'll find that water stored in glass tastes better than that stored in plastic, in particular if you compare the two after they have been in the fridge for a day or two.

Storing water in a plastic jug isn't much different than buying water in plastic bottle; over time, in particular if stored in a warm environment, it tastes crappy.
