Am I too late to the Facebook Party? I'm getting shit ads approved, looks like they have eased up.

If I'm doing it, tons of people must now be, is it saturated?

going to start with some zip and email submits. figure facebook noobs would give that away like their virginity to miley cyrus / those three gay brothers

Facebook/Myspace has been really fucking shitty for me.. 800+ clicks 1 sale, 358 clicks 1 lead --> all targeted traffic/demographics per the market.

They've done their research, and I've come to the conclusion that if your campaign will be profitable it will get rejected..

That was my experience anyways..

zip and email submits are against facebook guidelines.

that being said.. i ran an email submit for free iphones and they all got approved easily.

was not profitable at all. had a really negative ROI so I scrapped it.

FB is really hard to profit on, but i guess if you target very well and have the right offers, you can strike gold.

good luck!

zip and email submits are not against the TOS of FB.

As with any platform you need to test and be ready to lose some money in order to gain some knowledge.

If you plan on running zip/email submits and you are planning on raping the younger demo you won't be successful. Even if it backs out for you in the short term, the advertiser will pull it b/c that demographic is not going to back out for them. Beyond that they could possibly with hold payment b/c the big three zip/email submit players require the user to be 18+ and that demo has hopefully moved on from that skank and the Jonas Sisters.

Well, according to their guidelines:

"Ads cannot require viewers to click on the ad to submit Personally Identifiable Information (such as name, date of birth, phone numbers, social security number, physical addresses, or email addresses) on the landing page or in the ad, except to enable an ecommerce transaction and where the ad and landing page clearly indicate that a product is being sold."

You may not be a SMART man, but at least you know what LUV is.

well since before there was a true self serve ad platform (they were called flyers) we have been running submits on there with there blessing so almost 3 years.

One - zip submits would not fall in what you have listed above so even if they were to enforce it you would be ok.

Two - If they interpreted that they way you are then no lead gen offers would be running. What they come down on is collecting this info solely to re-market to them ie building an email list.

^^ "please dont take my monies"

or is it really?

Seriously though, I've never had much success with fb.
maybe it's just me but i've tried dating offers and email/zip submits.
both were almost breaking even.

Anyway good luck man!
