Are you moving back from any other browser back to FF?

Just updated from FF4. Looks like they fixed up the lag that was prevalent throughout FF4. I'm loving FF5 right now -- it's ridiculously fast and most of my toolbars and a good percentage of my addons are working again. Looks like I'm moving back to Firefox from Chrome. :338:

Anyone making the switch(back?) from Chrome/Safari/Opera/IE yet?

Waited forever and just got sick of its short comings the latest version of IE has been better the FF for the last year or so. Been hooked on SRWare Iron for the last 3 or 4 months and loving every second of it (even with its short comings its way dominant over anything FF has put out in a while

Can't believe how much quicker it is. I was thinking that the lag was just my PC, but they solved it. Praise be to Allah.

Right on, IE 9 is my browser of choice. Lightweight, fast & pretty like my women.

Jeeze, 4 didn't last very long.

Considering how long the other versions where out, yeah. Thinking they knew 4 sucked so rather than having a bunch of releases for it they just fixed it up, named it 5 and there we go. It's like Microsoft getting away from the stigmata of Vista with 7.

LOL, I'm still running 3.0.13 with no issues. Just keep updating Flash and Java. May give 5 a run now that you guys are showing the love.

Firefox has a new "rapid release cycle." They haven't said this officially, but I think part of the plan is to appeal to users who think a higher number must be better. With IE being at version 9, Chrome at 12, and Opera at 11, Firefox might not want to seem like they are behind to those that don't know any better.

And are there seriously IE users on a webmaster board? I haven't used version 9, but it still ranks dead last in all the benchmark tests I've seen.

Well I upgraded it but still think the interface is clunky compared to Chrome's sweet minimal goodness. I just turn on the pure white theme in Chrome and it's so unobtrusive even though all the add-ons are still readily available.

I hated 4 and found it just as slow and bulky as ie.

Chrome has done wonderfully well for me for the last year or two so until it fucks up I'm not swapping back.

Firefox 5 is now decent, except I FUCKING HATE that goddamn status bar that was new with FF4, and also chrome. If you want the old status bar back, get this:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

Also, while we're comparing FF to chrome...chrome automatically updates flash player for you, correct? For some reason I always have to boot into safe mode to install flash player for firefox. Very annoying.
