Firefox 5 Benchmarked - Faster And Better Than Ever Before!

According to that, with 25 tabs open - Chrome uses almost 1.2 GB memory, while Opera and Firefox are only at around 400 mb. I imagine they ran that test right after startup though.




It still uses a bit more than Chrome, but with Firefox 4 they changed the layout to one a lot like Opera, which takes up less space than Firefox 3.

25 tabs ain't shit. Having said that, it's not even so much about the memory. I don't care if Chrome takes more of it up as long as it doesn't crash. FF just used to crash to shit all the time.

Firefox 5 is not so good as the others but it takes less memory then other browser an make the process very slow.

not impressed ! - looked promising initially until I started opening around 15 tabs - same issues as before - memory leaks galore - and by now had to restart it 3 times within a 2 hours time span.

Im currently on Google Chrome and I always will be. Firefox 5 is just terrible. I would rather stick to something like the previous version - number 4.

It`s very fast and you can pin pages as App tabs also, why not.

After putting the chrome theme on FF5 I can barely tell the difference between the two, the only reason I notice is because it still says Firefox at the top.

Firefox has always sucked on OS X...Chrome I see no difference, Safari is a lot better on OS X, and opera is about the same too.

My experience:
FF5 not any faster and takes 20mb more memory at start up.
Plus the fucking memory leak is back that FF4 actually managed to curb.
