Firefox, Chrome or other?

FF for everything. Don't trust Chrome. At all. 90% of Google's incomes is from selling advertising (pulling #'s out of my ass here) - not the kind of company I want to give an awful lot of information about myself to (even Microsoft is better in that regard since its primary revenue stream is software and SAAS more than advertising).

So, what exactly are you worried about? Even if google steals all your "information" ?

LOL ^, great image!

Speaking of IE, has anyone found the new one to be good?

Gmail Contacts is unusable in IE9, literally the Contacts form is broken. Crap.

I use SW Iron (Chrome minus tracking) - it's fast and allegedly safe.

FF6 because it's a massive improvement on all that went before.

^^ this (SRWare Iron is the name, whatever)

for everyone who is reluctant to use chrome because of google's prying eyes (everyone here, i guess?), just use Iron. You'll be safe.

You do realize it's people who run Google, and people who have access to its data. It's enough that Google knows that I'm searching for "anal bead penetration" - Chrome adds another potential leak as it looks at which anal masturbation websites I'm actually browsing through.

Not that I actually look for that kind of stuff - the above that was purely a hypothetical example that I pulled out of my ass.

I mean out of my, er, head.

I use both.. Chrome for everyday browsing, and fun, Firefox for work, and iMacros of course..

Here's a little something:

Firefox is the best browser ever and will be.
IE too slow, and the constant updates will even make it slower.
Google's chrome near the competition as far as speed and add ons are concerned but not reliable and easily crashed.
Safari and Opera need a lot of catching up to do.

I've never even HEARD of anyone being able to purposefully crash Chrome on a decent computer... Not to mention that it's at least TWICE as fast as firefox in practical usage.
