it's a love/hate relationship between me and Firefox. for whatever reason, firefox completely breaks down when I visit this forum.

I cant click any of the buttons and have to type everything in manually. If I wanted to paste an image I would need to actually type in [img..][../img] for it to work.

cant even press enter to start a new line because it ignores it, so I need to type in instead (ignore the dots)
the worst part is that it's now starting to think Submit Reply is actually Submit New Thread, and tells me I havent chosen an icon for my new thread.. wtf?

Im not asking for any sympathy or advice, it's just that Firefox has a looooooooooooong way to go before it's a stable browser.

Do you have the latest version? I would totally uninstall firefox, then download the newest version.

I have zero problems with firefox.

Looking at the Acid test with any browser makes me weep. CSS is nice, but it has not ended any browser incompabilities, just ADDED to them.

The ONLY browser passing the test is Opera on a MAC! WTF?

Wait... let me say that again...

WTF!

aaah, now I feel better..

Care to name some of these software? Opera is a browser - does its job, ie lets you browse the web. What do other software have to do with anything?

try Avant browser. Opera is cool to but it's incompatible with lots of software.

I started using firefox and like a lot of things about it, but it has its moments. "I get a random firefox has generated an error and will be closed by windows."

It just updated yesterday, so hopefully that will fix it.

I've never had a problem with Firefox in over 3 years of using it (since back in the day when it was still Mozilla Firebird).

Other people seem to have issues; but I don't think it's usually Firefox causing it, Firefox usually is just what they're using that is making use of whatever on their computer is getting screwed up.

For awhile I was having problems with it every now and then. But once I upgraded my RAM from 512 to 1gig. I have had no problems.

i never really have had problems with it..except with roboform once or twice. but a reinstall was all that was needed. does anyone know if IE is going to come out with a version with tabs?

IE7 is going to have tabs.

Odd thing is how much people like tabs now - Opera users have been using tabs for over 7 years now. Looking for innovations in your browising experience, try Opera :)
My guess is the next big thing will be "mouse gestures" which Opera users have been using for years as well - allows you to navigate and browse the web like mad.

I'm using Opera right now and I've always disable mouse gestures. Maybe I should try them out. Opera rules.

Yeah, that mouse stuff is pretty cool... too bad FF doesn't have it... anyone know of a plugin?

I've used FF for over a year now, I do occasionaly get some problems with it, sometimes it doesnt start at all, I need to restart for it to work, and sometime it just hangs up and an error comes up and then ill have to close all browsers, actually when i accept the error they close by themselves.

But this doesnt happen all the time, most of the time it runs just fine, I do notice way less spyware when I use FF compared to using IE.
