So today, after months of link building and optimizing, I'm finally ranked on the first page for a very competitive keyword term. Traffic literally quadrupled, and as traffic was running for an offline business, they are already noticing substantial results.

Overally, I'm very happy all around. What this really means is that my SEO strategy is actually working. :)

Haha j/k bro, that's fricken awesome. The yoinkster has given me tons of good info in the past. Now that he swears it works, I should probably actually listen to him ;)
 
No system, just basic SEO strategy methodically applied.

Build site with good content. Outbound links to other relevant sites. Inbound links from other relevant sites. A few wikipedia links, sponsored articles on other sites. No paid linking for this site.

Add 1 - 2 articles/week for about four months. Keep KWD down to around 3%, keywords in title/header/footer. Ironically, no keywords at all in the domain. I host a few directories on random servers so I listed the site in there. No article submissions or directory submissions otherwise.

Anyway, congrats on the result...always nice when some hard work pays off.
