Hey Everyone,

Well I have read Wicked Fire for a while now and have come to the conclusion that I'm not as much of an expert on the internet as I thought. Although I have well over 10 websites and all seem to do well, I consistently learn something new on Wicked Fire.

Anyways I'm posting this message in this section and in the traffic section as I'm not sure where to place it. Hopefully a moderator could help me out on that.

I'm reaching out to the Wicked Fire communitiy because the truth is most of you here are way better than me at this and it's alway good to hear someone else's input. Two of my friends and I have started a website in college called Shufflur It is very similar to 2leep.com: Connecting Bloggers but we instead focus on micro niches. We currently do all right in food category but as much bigger blogs started to join, the complaints started to roll in. We just don't do enough traffic, it is either because other people who use the widget haven't installed it in a noticeable place or that this a new site. It is probably both but anyway I'm writing this message as I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on what we could do differently?

I'm not sure if anyone has any experience in this type of website but perhaps someone knows something we could do or offer? Please let us know as we are quite desperate as we are running out of ideas. If you want to know more of something (stats, blogs) please ask a question and I will get back to you immediately!

Thanks so much and Thank you for reading! I hope it was too dry!

You hope what was too dry? Your brains?

If you've been lurking as long as you say, you probably should have known to post this in the n00b forum?

Brace yourself- you may be in for an epic asshammering, brah... ;)

Ok. I don't know why, but I'm in a kind and benevolent mood this evening.

NOOBS, LISTEN THE FUCK UP.
Half of the problem you assholes have here is not asking questions, it's the questions you ask. Don't do it fucking open ended like "oh hai, why does my blog / site / business model suck and I need more traffic, can you guys plz halp?!?!?". And for fucks sake, don't put "first post" in the thread title. That's akin to throwing chum in great white infested waters. Frame shit appropriately. E.g. "Hey, we've been working on this site concept that does A, B and C. We thought we could have a competitive advantage in this space and monetize by doing D and E, but things haven't really worked out that way for us so far. We thought about maybe F & G but are still on the fence. Obviously a lot of smart people around here, what would you do to (generate more traffic, differentiate yourself from the competition etc etc) if you were us. Appreciate the input." Something like that will always be way more received than your original post.

You should know better if you've been lurking for awhile. On with the dickrolls, tomfoolery and general ballyhoo.......
