Flash banner quesion

What is the best way (and program) to create a flash banner that responds to user mouse movements, such as a display ad with 3 "article" links in, that individually highlight during mouseover? Also, can the banner link to 3 separate articles in this case, and be tracked as such (ie tags)?

I do all my own banners, but know fuck-all about flash so any help would be greatly appreciated. I know exactly what I want, but can't find any tutorials that cover it.

I reckon the best program to create a Flash banner is Flash.

The buttons and rollovers would be a button or movie clip that is triggered by an onRollOver bit of actionscript.

The linking should be easy enough using an onPress or onRelease action script function applied to each.

The tracking on the other hand depends on what ad serving platform you are using. Some older systems require tracking to be embedded in the banner and others can pass tracking from external parameters set up in the banner serving suite (such as OpenX for example).

I could get more specific but it would mean me having the literally build the thing to tell you the exact way to do it because I don't use Flash often enough to memorize the syntax, etc.

Yeah I've got flash 8 installed, wasn't sure if that was over kill though - kind of like using Photoshop to resize images. I'll check out that site though - thanks for the pointers.

I've used a program called SwishMax in the past for this. It was a dinky little app that provided it's own interface for developing flash banners, simple animations for intros, etc.
