Maybe the moral of the story is - write your own fucking copy and stop lifting landing pages.

And the reason they don't place restrictions of that level on us is that they can't do so without affecting businesses that can keep their damn phone lines open and have a similar practice (girls gone wild, magazines, etc).

I agree, this is partly what I meant when I said that their main focus is geared more towards business than towards consumers. Maybe "lobby" was the wrong term - yes their objective is to protect consumers, but like you say, just because there are a few black sheep they won't kill the entire herd. That would not be good for business, which is my point exactly.

I'm not saying to put a 8x3 inch banner on the pages that say it rebills, or to be the FTCs bitch or anything like that. I'm saying if you want to keep running these things without them getting banned all the fucking time, try doing a few things to put yourself at least in the gray area. Give the companies some plausible way to allow us to keep running our ads.

Well I don't run offers myself, I design them, among other things :) And I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, Acai won't be the last to take blanket artillery, and if the fruit (no pun) slides down the slope and starts to hang really low, I think Google won't be the only shooter anymore.
