I really wish I could learn php or some dev language. I have a really good idea. I think Ill check out rent a coder and see what I can come up with.

One thing that I havent seen answered really is...Does $uper Rewards get a cut of the aff offers I run through my app?

Of course they do, just like any other affiliate network. But you may find that since they do big volume they get higher payouts than you could, so even after their cut you might still be getting the same as if you went to the source network directly.

go to w3schools.org to pick up the PHP.

Either that or budget and get an india developer to do it.

For those who've been asking about it, go read up at developer.facebook.com on the app structure and all that.

I'd suggest reading all that before posting questions in the developer forums.

i want a lemonparty tracker that tells me where lemonaden is. like gawker does it with celebs.

A Happy Pill for the Virtual Pessimist - Just fill in this form to receive one...

Go ahead and make your money now, because this won't be around in another 6 months or so. The traffic won't convert at all for advertisers, and they'll pull their offers or forbid facebook traffic because of the dismal conversion rate.

This has a bit of truth too it, but only a bit. Some offers, like the webfetti toolbars that people were using to 'unlock' an app, have dismal retention rates. With $uper Rewards we control the creatives, we control the apps coming into the loop, so as a result we are able to keep the lead quality extremely high. The traffic we are sending to email subs and one pagers are BEGGING for more. They are backing out like mad! Turns out that people who are willing to give their financial life history in exchange for a virtual chew toy to give to their imaginary puppy are the same people who actually beleive they will get a free iPod if the 'Participate in this Survey'.

Andrew hit the nail on the head, sure Facebook may go tits up tomorrow, but they have proven the value of an open API. Something that mySpace, BeBo, LinkedIn, etc etc are now copying. 'Social Media' isn't going anywhere, so wherever the eyeballs go next, I'll be following them there.

I understood that Super Rewards would take a cut...Just wanted to make sure. I can deal with that. w3schools.com. meh ADD affects my ability to learn php. I dont know what it is about php I dont like. Probably my lack of passion for it.

$R or rather KITN (Kicked in The Nuts) Media takes 10% cut.

If you aren't already getting preferential payouts or super affiliate payouts, your payouts will probably be close to what a regular aff gets.

The other advantage is that KITN will do the geo-targeting, creatives, customer management (esp complaints), monitor srubs for you.

On a related note on getting an app big, I have a Facebook.com typo domain that gets around 800-900 visitors a day. I figure it would be good for anyone trying to promote a Facebook app (send visitors straight to your app instead of facebook.com homepage). If anyone who has an app wants to try promoting it this way, drop me a PM.

I figure that it would be good for anyone trying to promote a Facebook application (send the traffic straight to your app page). I'm not into making Facebook apps so I've not tried tried this for myself. If anyone is interested in promoting your app this way, drop me a PM and we'll talk.

Well I wont go into major details with creating a facebook application but I will say it takes a little bit to get used to there API but once you figure out there standard FBML you are able to push out an application in under 2 weeks and as andrew said even a shitty one should net you 2000-5000 a month which I mean for 2 weeks of work do up 3 applications and ride the wave until the next social networking site comes along and then rinse and repeat.

Basically for everyone worried stop worrying and stop bitching about what could be and start working on what is before you start wondering why you never made any real money online.

re: domains containing "facebook" in there, i would be careful abt using them,.

a number of the guys i know have domains containing Facebook in them and i was considering getting facebookMarketing.com .

after hearing about the C&Ds they've received i decided to drop the idea (same story with the my domains containing "ebay" in them...)

you may have a chance in winning the legal suit, but the time and $$$ you'd put into it could be better focused on building your biz instead...

Just a quick question...

What do you guys think about going across to Bebo with this type of system. Can anyone here help me get a foot in the door there? Can $R be moved across in some way?

cheers
