So I'm following Nickycakes Newbie Guide. I got tracking set up with some proper hosting. I applied to the affiliate networks listed, and then followed up with a phone call. Nobody answered, but I did leave messages.

I have a Beyond Hosting "hybrid" VPS with CPV Lab installed, it has a cpanel interface. WTF do I do now? I know my setup is to track landing pages. But what kind of site should the landing pages be on...Wordpress...a static HTML site?? Are there special WP themes for landing pages...recommended plugins?

I guess I should register different domains for each different kind of offer I promote?? And about the landing pages...If I don't get some from the networks, I guess I'll have some designed. How the hell does that work?

My only experience is with Adsense Blogs.

Yeah, I know, I'm clueless lol... Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I am excited though :)

I'm off now to go through my CPV Lab tutorials. Fun fun.... :)

PM/email the owners of the networks to see if they can expedite your applications. I wouldn't use wordpress. Depending on where you're planning on running take a peep at other peoples landing pages to get some ideas. Regging domains for each offer is up to you.

Wickedfire is for the most part an SEO forum now in my opinion. You probably won't find much help here. There are some good paid forums out there though.

Thanks for the response :)

Paid forums, that's an interesting idea. I never even considered that. Can you (or anybody else) recommend any? I Googled a bit and found Stack That Money...$99 a month.

Something like that would be well worth it if it could get my ass going. There is lots of good info on Wickedfire, but also a lot of steps left out of the process...not that I want spoon feeding. But I do need info.

I'm 100% determined to make lots of $$$ with aff marketing. If $99 a month could speed up the process, then that's the bargain of the century IMO.

I'm so tired of dicking around with Google, whether it be Adsense, or their search engine.

Send a PM to Grindstone he will hook you up with where you should be posting and how to get approved to some of the networks really fast. He also knows a lot about wordpress (He's the wordpress master) and uses CPV Lab and is always eager to help new people out.

That guide was written to make Nickycakes money, not you.

Dumbass.

I don't make any money on that guide from referral commissions or otherwise. I think it's been years since networks have been offering to pay people for referrals.

I wrote it because so many people were hitting me up asking me the same newbie questions, so I compiled the answers into a guide. It still gets a ton of traffic, and every show I attend, someone tells me that it helped them get started, so I assume it's helping someone.

My bad.

Respek.

Nah bro he saying you stuck in 2008.

if your gonna get into a paid forum id go with stackthatmoney. I never used it but almost everyone has something good to say about it. As far as the other major forum out there whos name I won't mention. I wouldn't bother. That place is more of a "ideas/think big/no real case studies or information you can't find anyplace else". Infact half the stuff posted in that forum is content scrapped from the search engines off other peoples blogs. Pretty sad.
