Yeah it initially caught my eye, because relatively speaking it has a low barrier to entry. $4-6k for the board and figure another $8-9,000 for a 2-3 man waverunner. So, you figure if you get 2-3 of these setups near a popular vacation destination you could probably do well.
Then you figure in insurance, and good luck getting underwritten, you are going to be declined or pay through the nose as soon as you tell them. Oh yeah, the person is going to go 30 feet into the air over water..
Then you figure in other costs, like wetsuits, personal. And a limited number of people , since you have to train them for like 15-20 minutes so they can do it and it starts unraveling pretty quickly.
Probably why I saw one of these businesses in Florida, selling their "training waverunner and unit" just the other week for $9,000..
That said, probably in Mexico where you likely aren't required to carry any insurance and can get cheap labor. You could probably make a fortune... Just not in 'Merica
