When we lived in Jackson, WY my daughter went to high school with Lukas Walton. His father, John was one of Sam's kids. The dad died in a plane crash in Jackson in 2005. Lukas's Mom, now a widow, is now the richest woman in the world.

My daughter and Lukas were in the same grade in this very small school. Lukas asked her out once but she thought he was too much of a nerd and said no thanks.
He was just a normal kid -- and he's an only child too. I guess he'll inherit most of that money.

$1B is an insane amount of money. just putting $1B in the bank, never touching it, and collecting the interest would be enough for you, your family, and every casual acquaintance in your facebook friends to live in luxury for the rest of your lives.

i second that, i met a man who owns 9 big companies indirectly, and he is living under the radar paying little amount of taxes
That's why many (although certainly not all) rich people are still miserable - rather than thinking "OMG, I have more money than I could spend in 1500 years", they look at the dude next door who has enough for 2000 years.
