Forbes: Here's Why Google and Facebook Might Completely Disappear in the Next 5 Years

Actually looking back on it, I see the WHOLE article is a subtle pitch for Win 8.
Everything revolves around knocking Google/FB off the pedestal, paying homage to apple, not mentioning how retarded Microsoft's web ventures have been.

Not to mention Forbes and Gates are bed buddies and Windows 8 is around the corner.

This is to prime you for the real ad pitches they are going to hammer at you, like Windows is leading the way in web 2.0 useability or something.

Personally, the author's argument is a little lop-sided. It is assuming that the mobile experience is not going to change, the the mobile experience will be constant and the Internet will change around it.

I think entirely new devices and UI's are going to supplant mobile and those mobile companies (android) will be the ones to struggle to keep up.

Big houses like Google can just R&D whatever is needed to play in the new arena.

The article missed the 100% innovation view.
